Antonio Cevallos

Ecuadorian American Violinist Antonio Cevallos is an avid teacher, performer and sought after recording artist. Formerly a musician with the San Antonio Symphony, Antonio has performed with the San Diego Symphony, Austin Symphony, Austin Lyric Opera, Austin Chamber Music Center, Austin Camerata and Austin Unconducted. Additionally, for the 2023-2024 season Antonio has served as guest Concertmaster for the Central Texas Philharmonic and joined the newly formed San Antonio Philharmonic.

Committed to the education of young performers and their ensemble skills, Antonio is the co-Director of Chamber Academy Austin (CAA). CAA is a chamber music training academy that specializes in high level and in depth study of string quartet and small ensemble playing. Now in its second year, CAA is engaged with many of the schools in the Austin area.

Antonio's role as a teacher has led to remarkable achievements among his students, particularly in the pre-college arena where they have not only participated in competitions but have also emerged victorious. Moreover, his influence extends to the college level, as his students have chosen to advance their musical journeys by pursuing degrees in music. In his capacity as a coach, Antonio has been instrumental in collaborating with individuals aspiring to establish themselves within symphony orchestras. Through his guidance, he has played a pivotal role in aiding individuals to secure positions and achieving success at auditions.
